How to find out my current map type for CIC/NBT system?
You can easily find it out by opening Nav -> Options -> Navigation System Version where you will see something like : ECE BMW 1.5.20 Road Map Europe PREMIUM 2009-2. Once you confirmed your current map type, you can order the corresponding latest map.

This question is only valid for CIC and NBT systems. Non-CIC/NBT systems can only use CD/DVDs. CIC PREMIUM Map USB update only works for cars made after 2009/9 or your car firmware has been updated since 2009/9. Otherwise, you should update the map via DVDs. For CIC MOTION/MOVE map, and NBT Next map should only be updated via USB
Do I have a CIC/NBT system or non-CIC/NBT system?
If your car has an internal HDD with integrated map on it, then it is a CIC or NBT system. If a map disc needs to stay in CD/DVD drive when using Sat Nav, then it is a non-CIC/NBT system.
What do I need to order to update my current map?
If your car has a CIC or NBT navigation system, then you need new map and fsc code. Fsc code is needed to activate your new map. You can order both map and fsc code from our online store. If you have a non-CIC/NBT navigation system, then you only need to order map CD(s) or DVD(s) from us, no fsc code needed.
